Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Jah Mission uses this information to keep track of how our website is used, to be able to create reports about our website and to be able to monitor the effectiveness of our campaigns.
We have not allowed Google to use the information obtained for other Google services, except for our YouTube channel.

Jah Mission stores your personal data to the extent necessary to provide services to you and to the extent necessary or as permitted by law. Personal data that is no longer needed is deleted as quickly as possible. We use secure systems to protect your personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing.

Who we share your data with

We need your personal data to provide you with the best possible advice about our products and services, and to ensure that our website runs as smoothly as possible for our users. From a legal perspective, processing data is a broad concept. Processing comprises all actions that can be performed with personal data. For example, Jah Mission processes personal data by collecting, storing, modifying, accessing, destroying and disclosing personal data that you may provide to use through our website.

THIRD PARTY POLICY

A data processing agreement (DPA) is the agreement between the controller and the processor which determines how the processor is to handle the personal data. Jah Mission will always conclude a written agreement with an external partner before any personal data can be distributed. We are responsible for ensuring that this occurs. If we need to share any personal data with a business partner, we shall create a separate agreement meets the necessary legal requirements. At this moment we do not share any of your personal data with our partners.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments and forms submissions are checked through an automated spam detection service provided by Google’s reCAPTCHA.
We also use Hotjar to optimize our user’s journey on our website.
